Extended TQFT from Gauge Theory

An "extended" topological quantum field theory (ETQFT) is a way of describing the local structure of an ordinary TQFT, in terms of a 2-functor (or more generally, n-functor) from a category of cobordisms with corners. A universal construction, related to Mackey theory for groupoid representations, provides such an ETQFT associated to gauge theory, for any finite group G. I will also discuss how this construction can be extended to include Lie groups.
